mangosteenI tend not to post about specific goings-on at work, for various reasons.
That being said...
It appears that on top of...
...being extra-super-shorthanded for most of the summer,
...having toilets explode next to the datacenter two weeks ago,
...and having a massive recall of network equipment to deal with,
...at 1:20am, significant chunks of the City Of Somerville (Mass.) lost power,
...and as of 5:55am, no one I can talk to knows why, or when it will be fixed.
Right now, my money is on a first-born bloody frog and a locust coverd in boils shorting across a feeder line in an isolated hailstorm in the darkness, all of which had a cow with cattle disease dropped on it.
Update: We have full power restore at work, as of 7:25am. I think they're lulling us into a false sense of security.
