So, right now, I'm feeling very on.
I got some new hardware hooked up to my PC (i.e. "carambola"), have successfully set up outbound dialing via SIP from my PC through the open-source PBX running on the linux box (i.e. "starfruit") sitting next to the PC, organized most of my software CDs (and some of my photo CDs), and came up with a plan for re-doing the house network (along with a couple of searches on eBay for suitable hardware).
This all happened before (and during) playing some of the smartest, tightest, most aggressive poker I've played in approximately ever (yes, online). Being able to actually focus and make solid guesses at the cards people are holding is a beautiful thing, especially when you're correct much more often than not.
Right now, I feel suffused with all the geekly, tinkering, mind-in-motion energy that reminds me of what it's like to use my potential.
Follow all that up with a shot of Ardbeg 10 cask-strength single-malt (Cadenheads bottling), and life utterly fails to suck.
Not bad for the last three hours.
