It's blog, it's blog.....
Jan. 5th, 2007 09:26 pmSo, I'm thinking of writing a blog.
That is to say, a non-LJ kind of blog.
A groovy kind of blog.
Well, perhaps not groovy, but definitely a BLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGG!!

Anyway, I made a New Year's Resolution to myself.
Now, I know what you're thinking. "New Year's Resolution", it's delusional. It's for thick-necked guys named Gunter who drank too much Beck's Dark when Martin Mull was pimping it.
This may or may not be true, but the New Year's Resolution is nothing more or less than to read an academic paper on CompSci/Networking every week. I need to keep up with developments in my field, and this is a pretty straightforward approach to doing so. The way that I intend to hold myself to this promise is to write a blog on the topic, something like "Here's the paper. Here's what I think is relevant/cool about it. Here's a good 'elevator pitch' summary of the paper. Here's why I think it was good/bad/unparseable. Oh yeah, and here's a link to it, and maybe other relevant work on the topic. Discuss."
So here's a little one-button poll. Note only one button. If there were two, I just *know* you'd attempt to press them both at once, and then it would all go badly. There's a textbox, too. Fill it in. It's not as cool as eating the sundried tomatoes, but it's still pretty cool. This blog is happening either way, but I'd be interested to hear thoughts on the idea.
