No humility. Not this time.
Feb. 19th, 2008 11:43 pmThis morning, I did something that I had previously thought of as impossible.
I got on a treadmill and jogged at a speed of 4 mph for half an hour without stopping, slowing down, or even really breathing heavy. In fact, I increased the speed to 4.5 mph for the last couple of minutes because it felt too easy.
I've been going to the gym on a regular basis for about a month, and after going through the various treadmill Dynamic Alpine Heart Cross Training Interval Thingie programs, I decided that I'd just get on yon treadmill, set it to a slow jog, and see how far I got before having to stop because I was dead or somesuch.
It didn't work out that way.
I just, well, ran.
I felt like I could go on forever.
Holy crap. This wasn't in the script.
I wasn't supposed to be able to do this.
I've tried regular exercise several times, and I've failed just as many.......
.....minus one.
