When textbooks and dictionaries go bad.....

While I try to refrain from blogging the daily details of my life, this weekend was truly wonderful, and I'll have to post a brief summary of it under the guise of a (still-percolating) larger observation.

I'm currently halfway through my Chinese homework. Why only halfway? Because I've been procrastinating. Why have I been procrastinating? Because I was compelled to re-derive a grammatically correct way of stating the following:

我的气垫船是充满的鳗鱼.
(wo3 de5 qi4dian4 chuan1 shi4 chong1man3 de5 man2yu2.)
swipe for translation: (I'm not tellin', but it has do do with eels and hovercrafts.)

It's still not quite right, but I feel better, now.
I hereby acknowledge the absence of any rational explanation for this behavior.
Likewise for spending 4+ hours in IKEA today; but that's another show.

What Mr. Mysterious means is, highlight the area after "swipe for translation". It's written there in white text, sorta. I didn't get it, either.

Hm.... I don't think that's quite right. 充满的鳗鱼 means "the (noun) that is (verb)" (content deleted to preserve the surprise :). You probably want

我的气垫船充满鳗鱼.

But don't take my word for it. :)
