The car has stayed fixed for approximately five days at this point. I'm utterly astounded. I forgot what it was like to have a functioning vehicle. Similarly, I had forgotten that having a drivable car is a normal state of events, and a reasonable expectation to have. For every car owner like me, there has to be someone with a BMW who has driven it for 300k miles, and has done nothing in terms of regular maintenance besides putting gas in it.
Today was mindblowingly productive. It was one of those days where I could feel my sphere of practical networking knowledge getting larger. Large sphere. Huge tumescent throbbing sphere. Oh baby. But I digress.
Observation: I need to get out more. I've been spending entirely too much time going around in circles in my head in relation to my car, my job, saving money, etc. All things that are ultimately quantifiable and easy to get one's head around, but ring hollow when you realize that there's not all that much about them to contemplate (as opposed to "go over" or "run through"). I need to get out more in general, though. I haven't been very social lately, and that's not entirely a welcome change.
