i had my air conditioner running overnight, so i woke up with lots of pleasant white noise around. but as soon as i came out of my bedroom, i knew brazil had won the world cup. or at least, i assumed (given the number of cars driving around the area over the past week with brazilian flags) that this was the reason for much honking and yelling. it's on the main street closest to my house, but not right outside my house, so i don't mind at all.
It reminded me of how I found out that the Patriots had won the Superbowl: sitting in KP's hot tub overlooking Medford, all of a sudden there was an incredible amount of cheering and horn-honking audible from all over.
