So, I got back from Arisia. I think.

I actually feel like me and my sweetie got into a cab, told the guy to drive around the block, and got back out again. The fact that it happened to be almost exactly 48 hours later is a trivial detail. As we sat on the Comfy Couch watching a movie on Sunday evening, we were both slightly incredulous as to whether Arisia had even taken place. If it were not for the two days we could not otherwise account for, I would think that we spent a quiet weekend at home.

This is not to say that Arisia wasn't fun, but that it went by very quickly, for reasons that are still unclear to me, especially considering that I was awake for more hours of the con than I had ever been before, courtesy of some sleep adjustment during the preceding week.

Observation: I guess the one important thing I learned from going to Arisia this year is that quite a few people have interesting things to say. However, a great many of those only have one or two interesting things to say, and don't realize when they've run out. I witnessed a lot of conversations in the hallways of the hotel where one person was talking at length, and the other person was trying to find a way out of the conversation but couldn't. It was sad.

As 48-hour-long parties go, Arisia didn't suck. There's a lot more to write, but it's all just a few millimeters below the surface.
