Today couldn't possibly have been part of a weekend. I have been entirely too productive.
Room cleaned, laundry done, cooked a few things, finished a book, sorted random tech stuff to put up for sale, threw out metric buttloads of cruft, and I'm pretty sure there were a few other things in there as well. This was all done in 6 hours. I shudder to think what I'd be like if I was this productive on a regular basis.

A particularly useful thing I did was to hang my attendee badge from NANOG (complete with "speaker" label on it) somewhere I can see it, as a reminder that at some point in the recent past, people thought that I had something original and useful to talk about. The tricky part about proving myself to myself is that I need to show myself concrete accomplishments. Otherwise, I redefine "doing well" as "something I'm not yet", and "intelligent" as "a little bit smarter than I am right now".

Realization: Spring Cleaning isn't just a good idea, it's a moral imperative. Sure, winter was a bit late to the party this year, and we're going to get sleet and slush well into April, but opening the windows, airing out the room, and cleaning out the crapola that collects over a winter actually did help me with the winter blahs.

Observation: If Chuck Palanhiuk (the guy who wrote Fight Club) didn't listen to KMFDM's song "Dogma" at some point before or during the writing of the book or screenplay, I'll be very surprised.

So, what exactly is a 'metric buttload'? Is it bigger or smaller than an English buttload?
