Ironic "Terrorism Hits Home" Moment: Getting (slow-speed, no-damage) rear-ended this morning on the drive to work by someone who hit me because they were distracted by listening to the radio, regarding the London bombings.

I found them and they're both fine, thanks! They're not actually in London, so they didn't feel the need to post -- I'm just paranoid because I remember how many non-New Yorkers were caught in 9/11.

Yeah, the London thing is really upsetting. Sadly, I could see myself doing the same thing when I turned on NPR this morning.

You're right, it's upsetting, I'm going to have to bloody walk home! They might possibly have restarted the bus service if the weather keeps up, but... argh. At least the run-rate is getting better. ;-)

Regrettably, after much soul-searching and calendar-juggling, we will not be able to attend your wedding.
The timing just isn't right.
This makes us sad.

I thought of this when I read your post. I'm sorry yours was so much worse, but am glad no one was seriously injured.

At least to my car, it wasn't really too much worse. The preliminary quote from the body shop is just over $1,000. And they say it's likely that just the bumper cover needs to be replaced, and that's it. And no one was injured at all, which is good.

All things considered, if this is the only accident I get in in this car, I'll be exceedingly happy.
